Terms & Conditions for your commission from Eve Melia (Melia Artistry) are to be read and agreed to before continuing through checkout. By making any payments, you agree to these terms and conditions
CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
Eve always makes the best effort to paint a very recognisable likeness to the subject in your reference photo provided. However, in the unlikely circumstance that a sufficient likeness has not been produced, you may ask for certain alterations to be made at the end. Eve will do her very best to make any possible changes to the painting to improve the likeness, but be aware that changes aren't always possible at this late stage.
By paying a deposit and booking your slot, you enter into the agreement to purchase the full painting, knowing that Eve has made the best effort to achieve a recognisable likeness to the subject in the photo.
COPYRIGHT
The copyright of the artwork produced is retained by the artist- Eve Melia, and may be displayed on Eve’s website and social media sites for promotional purposes. You will have ownership the original, commissioned painting but not ownership of copyright to the image. If you share a photo of the painting to social media, it is courteous to credit the artist (Eve Melia) and/or tag Eve Melia Artistry where possible.
The artwork must not be reproduced under any circumstances without prior agreement from Eve, as prints of your bespoke painting are available upon request. Any unauthorised reproductions of the artwork are in violation of copyright law.
DEADLINES
Eve works on a first come first served basis so please be aware there may be a waiting list. This can be anything from 1 month-1year. You can contact her at any time to ask about available slots. If you require the art for a deadline, please discuss this with Eve via email prior to paying deposit. Paintings can take several weeks to complete depending on its size and complexity. Peak time of year runs from October to December for Christmas orders, so prompt booking for this time of year is essential.
MARKETING
All of Eve's paintings will be scanned, and the digital format posted in various formats on her website and social media for promotional purposes. On some occasions, your reference photos may also be shared alongside the painting for comparison. If you wish for the finished painting and/or reference photos to be kept private, please let Eve know before paying your deposit. Posting on social media can be postponed until specific dates in order to not spoil the surprise if it's a gift. Most artwork from October is kept private until after Christmas as most are gifts.
PAYMENTS/ REFUNDS
All commission payments are non-refundable, except in the unlikely event that Eve herself cancels your commission. Eve has the right to sell, reproduce or keep any fully completed artwork that is not paid for in full within pre-arranged time slot.
Commissions will not be posted to you until you have made the final payment. Be aware that late payment may mean your artwork will be posted to you beyond the deadline which you originally requested. You have the responsibility to have the balance payment ready by the due date.

PHOTOS
Any photographs you wish for Eve to work from must have the permission from the photographer before she begins the artwork. Eve takes no responsibility if this has not been done by the customer. The photo/s must be free from any copyright infringements, and Eve will not be held responsible in any way for any infringements that may occur as a result of this, it is the clients responsibility to check any photo/s are not infringing any copyright.
DELIVERY/ DAMAGED ART
Your artwork will be packaged to a high standard and posted via Royal Mail as Tracked & Signed. All customers are provided with a tracking number once posted. Eve photographs each parcel immediately before posting.
On the rare occasion that your order is lost or damaged during transit, please contact Eve immediately so she can resolve the issue quickly by contacting Royal Mail. Loss or damages caused by the delivery company is the responsibility of the delivery company itself and bears no representation on Eve.
